Under the guidance of our founders, RCPL embraces social and environmental stewardship as integral to sustainable business growth. With every rupee we earn, we reinvest in communities and ecosystems to build a brighter, more equitable future.

Governance & Funding:
 

• CSR Committee
  Appointed by the Board, our CSR Committee defines priorities, approves projects and oversees implementation.

• Channels
  Activities may be delivered directly, through eligible subsidiaries, or via partnerships with Section 8 companies, trusts, or societies having at least three years’ proven track record.

• Budget & Reporting
  Annual CSR spend is aligned with statutory requirements. Up to 5% of this allocation may fund capacity-building for our personnel and implementing partners. All expenditures and outcomes are rigorously monitored and publicly reported.

Scope of Activities:
 

RCPL’s CSR programmes in India exclude any employee-only benefits and political contributions. We focus on high-impact initiatives drawn from Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013:
 

• Healthcare & Nutrition
  Eradicating hunger and malnutrition; preventive-care camps; rural healthcare infrastructure.

• Education & Livelihoods
  Primary schooling in underserved areas; vocational training for women, youth and the differently abled.

• Gender & Social Inclusion
  Empowering women’s collectives; shelters for orphans and senior citizens; reducing social inequities.

• Environmental Sustainability
  Tree planting and conservation; waste-management and clean-water systems; energy-efficient building practices.

• Rural & Slum Development
  Infrastructure upgrades; access to sanitation and clean drinking water.

• Culture & Heritage
  Restoration of historic sites; support for traditional artisans.
